Postcards for San Franciscans

I love postcards. Not the twee, la-dee-da matte ones you find at boutiques; the glossy, cheesy, touristy ones you find at a drug store. But the selection is usually just different angles of "HERE IS THE PLACE THAT I AM AT." Where's the sarcasm? The hard truths of the city? The faux-confusion about which landmark is pictured?

My friend Luke Foss and I created two sets of postcards for The Bold Italic shop that I think fill that void. The first collection sold out in a matter of hours, so we created a second collection, as well as a small bonus set for NYC that was given out at an event in New York.

(A lot more swearing than I remember including, but that’s probably an indication that I’m getting older and cooler.)
